Barrington Park - Sedgwick County Moms Network

Barrington Park in West Wichita is a small playground on a corner in a neighborhood off 21st and Tee Time Street with a fun playground and a small field.

Location:  2010 N Tee Time, 67212 (West Wichita)

Amenities:
Playground
Picnic Table
Grill
Benches
Swings

Pros:
We loved that there were plenty of kids after school playing while we did. We saw some young tween/teens playing football on the small grassy area, so it’s a great place for older kids, too. There are plenty of pieces of equipment for the kids to play on, most helping them experiment with their climbing. It was also foam turf, which is always great to avoid pebbles and mulch in shoes.

Cons:
The playground isn’t fenced in. It is also on a busy corner in the neighborhood with very little parking available.

We went on a Wednesday afternoon after Maize USD gets out early. There were still a few kids playing on it, so my kids had some friends. We love the different pieces of equipment – even my four year old was able to climb up the rope ladders and go across the rope bridges. There is enough area to run around on the grass and possibly play catch. But, definitely keep an eye on the kids so they don’t wonder into the street.
